Mike Bellucci, Brandon LaRose, Steve LoBiondo, Brad Glazer and Matt Landolphi all had key hits to help the team on offense. Steve LoBiondo, Danny Lyons, Ryan O'Rourke, Matt Kirby and Matt DiDonna all had solid defensive performances to help the team contain Udall's potent offense. The win gave the team a final record of 8 wins against 4 losses on the season. Charlie Filippazzo finished the season with a record of 5 wins against just 1 loss as the team's number one pitcher. Mike Bellucci, Matt Landolphi and Brandon LaRose all finished with batting averages well over .400 to lead the team's offense. On defense, second baseman Danny Lyons and shortstop Matt DiDonna's consistency sured up the team's middle infield. Beach finished the season averaging over 7 runs per game on offense while giving up only 4 runs per game on defense.

Fernandez executed a perfect sacrifice bunt at the plate to advance a base runner in the team's 7 to 3 loss to visiting Copiague. Seventh graders John Albergo, Tim Madden and Tim Larkin all played well at their respective defensive positions to help the team. Shortstop Matt DiDonna made two fantastic, acrobatic late game catches in shallow leftfield to keep the team's hope of a potential comeback alive.
5/25/2006 4:00 PM Deer ParkDeer Park45Charlie Filippazzo pitched six solid innings in a hard fought 5 to 4 extra-innings loss to a highly competitive Deer Park team. Danny Lyons and Matt DiDonna had strong performances at their respective middle infield positions to help contain Deer Park's offense. Brandon LaRose, Matt Landolphi, Danny Lyons, Mike Bellucci, Matt Kirby and Chris Heine all contributed on offense with key base hits in the team's losing effort.
5/23/2006 4:00 PM Brentwood WestWI 172Chris Heine's complete game pitching performance led the team to a convincing 17 to 2 win over visiting Brentwood West. Charlie Filippazzo had a fantastic game in rightfield, assisting on two "heads up" throws to first base which resulted in outs. At the plate shortstop Matt DiDonna went 2 for 2 with two well hit singles up the middle.Seventh grader Kevin McEvoy also contributed on offense by recording his first career hit as a Beach Street player by driving a pitch into rightfield. Mike Bellucci, Matt Landolphi, Danny Lyons, Timmy Lettieri, Steve LoBiondo, Brandon LaRose, John Albergo, Tim Larkin, Tim Madden, Connor Verron, Joe Recca, Charlie Filippazzo, Nick Taylor, Matt Kirby and Ryan O'Rourke also contributed to the team's offensive explosion with base hits.
5/18/2006 4:00 PM Moses (NB)WI 52Rob Cutrone's six inning pitching performance led the team to a hard fought 5 to 2 win over visiting Moses Middle School. Mike Bellucci, Danny Lyons, Matt Landolphi, Matt Kirby, Nick Taylor, Timmy Lettieri, Brandon LaRose and Steve LoBiondo all contributed on offense with base hits. Seventh grader Tim Madden made a difficult catch in leftfield in the seventh inning to thwart a potential comeback by Moses. Mike Bellucci pitched the seventh inning, ending a late threat by Moses and earning his first save of the season as a relief pitcher.
5/15/2006 4:30 PM Kings ParkKings Park45Trailing 4 to 1 in the top of the seventh, Beach rallied to tie the game at 4 to force extra-innings. However, Kings Park won the game on an RBI base hit in the top of the 8th inning. Charlie Filippazzo pitched six excellent innings in a no decision effort. Matt DiDonna, Mike Bellucci and Matt Landolphi led the way on offense with multi-base hit games. Charlie Filippazzo, Matt Kirby, Danny Lyons, Steve LoBiondo and Timmy Lettieri all perfectly executed sacrifice bunts to successfully advance base runners throughout the game.
5/12/2006 4:30 PM NorthportWI 54Charlie Filippazzo's complete game pitching performance led the team to yet another walk off come-from-behind win. Brandon LaRose's RBI sacrifice fly drove in Mike Bellucci in the bottom of the seventh to give the team a 5 to 4 win over a very strong Northport team. Joe Recca also contributed at the plate with an RBI pinch hit. Highlighting the team's defensive performance was a crucial, perfectly executed relay involving centerfielder Mike Bellucci, shortstop Matt DiDonna and catcher Matt Landolphi that caught a Northport base runner out at home plate in the sixth inning to help the team maintain a 4 to 4 tie heading into the seventh. Another key out for the defense was in the fifth inning, when catcher Matt Landolphi threw a perfect strike to seventh grade shortstop Kevin McEvoy as a Northport base runner attempted to steal second base.
5/10/2006 4:00 PM Oldfield Oldfield134Rob Cutrone's complete game pitching performance led the team to a convincing 13 to 4 win over Oldfield Middle School. Hot hitting Matt Landolphi led the way on offense with an incredible performance at the plate with four hits and five RBI'S. Brandon LaRose, Timmy Lettieri, Mike Bellucci and Rob Cutrone all contributed at the plate as well with hits. Matt Kirby, Ryan O'Rourke, Danny Lyons and Mike Bellucci all had terrific games at their respective defensive positions to contain Oldfield's offense.
5/8/2006 4:00 PM Brentwood NorthWI 32Charlie Filippazzo's complete game pitching performance led the team to an exciting come-from-behind victory over Brentwood North. Matt Landolphi's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning drove in Matt LaRose and Mike Bellucci to give the team its second walk off win of the season. Middle infielders Danny Lyons and Matt DiDonna had solid performances to contain Brentwood North's offense.
5/6/2006 4:00 PM West BabylonWI57Brandon LaRose, Matt Landolphi and Mike Bellucci had extra-base hits in the team's first loss of the season to visiting West Babylon. Also contributing at the plate with hits were Danny Lyons, Nick Taylor, Matt Kirby, Timmy Lettieri, Steve LoBiondo and Charlie Filippazzo.

Connor Verron, Timmy Lettieri, Joe Recca, John Albergo, Mike Bellucci, Brandon LaRose and Nick Fernandez all had RBI base hits to lead the team on offense. Kevin McEvoy, Matt Kirby, Ryan O'Rourke, Brandon LaRose and Matt Landolphi had terrific games at their respective defensive positions to help the team. The defensive highlight occurred in the fourth inning when centerfielder Matt Kirby threw a perfect strike to catcher Matt Landolphi to catch an Amityville runner out at homeplate. The play prevented Amityville from gaining any momentum for a potential comeback.
4/28/2006 4:00 PM IslipWI 87Charlie Filippazzo's complete game pitching performance led Beach to an exciting 8 to 7 season opening victory over Islip. Mike Bellucci, Joe Recca, Brad Glazer and Brandon LaRose all had timely RBI base hits to lead the way on offense. Danny Lyons, Steve LoBiondo, Brad Glazer and Matt DiDonna had outstanding games at their respective defensive positions to help contain Islip's offense. Ryan O'Rourke, Steve LoBiondo and Rob Cutrone all perfectly executed sacrifice bunts to advance base runners throughout the game to help the team.
